Abstract: Oracle recommends archiving your data as part of an upgrade. ARCTOOLS has been involved with hundreds of Oracle JD Edwards customers that needed to purge and archive their data – in connection with a version upgrade project, or to improve system performance, or to shorten disaster recovery times or even to reduce legal liability from old historical data. This session will cover the reasons that customers choose purging and archiving, why it’s so difficult, the benefits realized, real-world customer results, and specifics about the project at Brightstar US and Brightstar 20/20 (the UK location). Attendees will understand why Brightstar 20/20 observed “massive performance wins for both users and DBAs”. Learn from Brightstar’s experience how important archiving can be to the success of an upgrade project, and / or to improve performance overall.
