ABOUT ARCTOOLS®

SMART SOLUTIONS FOR SMARTER BUSINESS

ARCTOOLS® was founded in 1996 and to date has helped more than 600 customers across six continents to realize the benefits are archiving and purging.

Initially focused on the IBM i platform, in 2001 ARCTOOLS® was introduced to JD Edwards (JDE).  ARCTOOLS® personnel worked with the GSS team at JDE in Denver, CO along with several large JD Edwards World customers including Cargill, W L Gore, Baxter and Granite Construction, to address the lack of archiving functionality in that package.  Subsequent to this initial collaboration, Cargill was the ‘beta site’ for this new approach.  Cargill was at the time, and perhaps still is, the largest JD Edwards customer in the world. ARCTOOLS® went on-site with the Cargill team to fine-tune the tools created in Denver, and successfully met Cargill’s goal of archiving multiple production environments in preparation for a company-wide JD Edwards version upgrade. Those environments had more than 500 million GL detail records, which at the time was considered huge.

From those humble beginnings, ARCTOOLS®’ JD Edwards install base has grown from one (Cargill) in early 2003 to the current 600+ in 2018.  ARCTOOLS® is the leading purge and archive tool in the JD Edwards space, and has many customers in other platforms.
